Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (29/06/2020) Southbank Barn, New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield (paving outside front door). Note the 4-lobed stigma. Whilst Broad-Leaved and Great Willowherbs also have four-lobed stigmas they don't have Haory Willowherb's furry-hairy (hoary) leaves.

Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (29/06/2020) Southbank Barn, New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield (paving by front door). Fuzzy leaves again which one can clearly see from a distance as it makes the plant take on a greyish apperance.
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (29/06/2020) Southbank Barn, New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield (paving by front door). Quite a tall one, but furry-hairy so Hoary Willowherb!

Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (23/06/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (car park field). This specimen is particularly furry-hairy.
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (01/07/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (car park field). We have literally masses of these in this particular field which I am having to get under control as it has spread so dramatically.
Broad Leaved (left), Square-Stalked (middle) and Hoary (right) Willowherbs (29/06/2020) Southbank Barn, New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield (paving slabs by front door). A useful comparision - there are 3 Willowherb species here: lower left is Broad-Leaved, middle is Square-Stalked and right is Hoary Willowherb.
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (01/07/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (car park field). Some are hairier than others - this one not as much as some specimens in later images!
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (10/06/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (car park field). Masses of young plants. I think perhaps hairs drop off a bit as plants age as the younger ones always seem to be particularly hoary.
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (10/06/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (car park field). Leaves can take on a pinkish tinge although I think this young specimen is sun-stressed.
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (10/06/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (car park field). Makro shot of the hoaryness. Upper stem leaf showing some teeth.
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (29/06/2020) Southbank Barn, New Hall Lane, Small Dole, Henfield (paving by front door). Some plants have reddish, or red-blotched stems like this. And some are hairier than others - this one massively so!
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (01/07/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (car park field). The leaves lower down tend to have less toothed margins. This specimen is not as hoary as some others, they do vary.
Hoary Willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) (01/07/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (car park field). Further up the stem, the leaves tend to show more teeth or perhaps they are simply more visible as they tend to get less furry-hairy as you go up the stem. This one is a bit less hairy than earlier specimens.
